Our sponsorships
Protection and support with heart
Through our sponsorships, we provide long-term support to young people and their families. Families can count on having their costs covered for kindergarten and school, vocational training, or university, as well as expenses for school clothing, learning materials, meals, and transportation to school for years to come. This reduces financial pressure and protects children from social injustices that they are often exposed to at a young age. Even today, millions of young people are affected by child labor, child trafficking, early marriage, homelessness, and neglect.
We collaborate with established organizations that have many years of experience and maintain long-term personal contact with each individual child. Personal contact with the families of the children to whom we grant sponsorships is important to us. This is because sponsorship should not only be financially beneficial for the families and the child in question; if a sponsorship is actively lived, it can become a real heartfelt relationship that is beneficial for everyone directly and indirectly involved: for the child, the sponsor, the families with their wider neighborhood or community. Heartfelt relationships are good places where understanding, tolerance, and appreciation can be practiced and allowed to flourish.
Sponsorships usually end when the child reaches adulthood or completes the final stage of education. The relationships that have grown over many years can and should, of course, continue when both sides are open for it.
